On the 18^th of January 2023, the Director of WASCAL CCHH, Prof A. A. Okhimamhe, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Faruk Kuta, presented the University’s appreciation to the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) represented in the WASCAL Governing Board by Dr Karsten Hess. BMBF is the funder of WASCAL, and WASCAL in FUT Minna is one of the beneficiaries in both research activities and graduate studies programme at Master’s Degree (2012 – 2018) and PhD level (2019 till to date).

Similarly, she presented the University’s appreciation to Prof Caleb Adeniyi Osuntogun OFR, the pioneer member that represented Nigeria on the Board. During his membership, he paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor of the University, participated in the very first graduation ceremony organized for WASCAL students in October 2014 and the Graduate Study Programme in FUT Minna thrived and benefitted from his candid recommendations gannered from his years of experience in many positions including the national programme director of FEDEN/LEAD. Prof Osuntogun is a seasoned educator, scientist and researcher.
